India has strongly criticised the recent strikes in Fujairah that left three Indian nationals injured, calling for an immediate end to hostilities and protection of civilians.

In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs described the incident as unacceptable and stressed that civilian areas and infrastructure must not be targeted under any circumstances.

India reiterated its position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to restoring stability in the region.

India also emphasised the need to keep maritime movement through the Strait of Hormuz uninterrupted, stating that freedom of navigation and trade must align with international law. It added that it stands ready to support efforts towards a peaceful resolution.

Earlier, the Embassy of India in the UAE confirmed that it is coordinating with authorities in the United Arab Emirates to ensure medical care and assistance for the injured citizens.

The UAE, meanwhile, attributed the attack to Iran, stating that missile and drone strikes had hit civilian locations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UAE) condemned the action as a serious violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Emirati authorities warned that such actions pose a direct threat to national security and territorial integrity, adding that the country retains the right to respond in accordance with international law.

The UAE also called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, holding Iran responsible for the incident and its consequences.
