PM Modi Updates Twitter Cover Photo With Bharat Mandapam Ahead Of G-20 Summit
In preparation for the G-20 Summit of 2023, leaders of the G-20 nations have started arriving in India for the summit scheduled for September 9-10 in Delhi. The summit is being meticulously organized in Delhi, and during this period, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has updated his cover image on the microblogging website ‘X.’ PM Modi has replaced his cover image with a picture of the Bharat Mandapam, the venue for the G-20 Summit.
In this image, the resplendent Bharat Mandapam, featuring the statue of Nataraja, is showcased. PM Modi has also changed his profile picture, replacing the tricolor with a ‘Namaste’ gesture.
Furthermore, PM Modi tweeted about the G-20 Summit, saying, “I am delighted that India is hosting the 18th G-20 Summit at the prestigious Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 9-10, 2023. This is India’s first G-20 Summit, and I look forward to meaningful discussions with world leaders over the next two days.”

The G-20 Summit is set to take place in Delhi on September 9 and 10, with leaders from various developing and developed nations, including U.S. President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, attending. India is currently serving as the G-20 chair.
During their arrival, the leaders were greeted with traditional dance performances by various groups, and IMF Chief Kristalina Georgieva even danced to music at the airport. Melanie and Hasina were welcomed at the airport by Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje and Darshana Jardosh.

British PM’s welcome was done by Minister Ashwini Choubey, while Alberto Fernandez was welcomed by Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste. Comoros President Azali Assoumani also arrived and received a grand welcome. During the G-20 leaders’ summit, crucial global issues will be discussed.
Under his G-20 chairmanship, India is focusing on inclusive development, digital innovations, climate resilience, and equitable global healthcare access, among other various issues. The issue of Ukraine may also loom large in this summit, with warnings from Russia on this matter.
