PM Modi Takes Dig At Oppostion Leader Rahul Gandhi Over Fire Remark, Says Wipe Out Congress

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi for his most recent comments, which implied that the nation will be “set on fire” if the BJP wins the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi encouraged voters to eradicate the Congress party from every region of the nation, claiming that the party is desperate as a result of continuing to be out of power. He made these remarks at an election rally in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.

PM Modi said, “The Congress and INDI Alliance have made their intentions clear. Congress’s royal family ‘shehzada’ (prince) has threatened there will be fire if Modi gets another term in office.”

He further added, “Staying out of power has made them so desperate that they are now talking about setting the country afire. Would you let them do it? Is this the kind of language used in a democracy? Wouldn’t you punish them?”

“The Congress, with its Emergency-mindset, no longer has faith in democracy. Therefore, it is busy instigating people against the electoral mandate,” the Prime Minister alleged, asking people to “wipe it out from everywhere”.

“Don’t you think the corrupt should go to jail? The corrupt are threatening and abusing me. But they can’t deter me. Action against each one of the corrupt will continue,” PM Modi said.

Days Earlier, Prime Minister Modi made remarks at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, where Rahul Gandhi warned that the country would be “set ablaze” and would not survive if the BJP won the election by “match-fixing” and changed the Constitution.

Protesting against the arrest of JMM chief Hemant Soren and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, INDIA bloc leaders gathered at a ‘Loktantra Bachao’ rally at the Ramlila venue on March 31 in an effort to show opposition unity ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
