PM Narendra Modi on Monday reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) dedication to building a ‘Viksit Haryana, Viksit Bharat’.

Speaking at a public rally in Hisar, PM Modi recalled his early political involvement in Haryana and credited the hard work of the BJP workers for strengthening the party in the state.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister flagged off the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and laid the foundation stone of the Terminal-2 building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport.

Officials expect to complete the ₹410 crore terminal project within two years to make air travel safer, more affordable, and accessible.

Doubling Airports & Boosting Connectivity

Highlighting his government’s achievements, PM Modi said, “Before 2014, India had only 74 airports. Today, that number has more than doubled to over 150.”

He emphasized that the government is pairing improved connectivity with welfare efforts to uplift the poor and promote social justice.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other state ministers were present during the inauguration ceremony.

The Prime Minister said the launch of air services from Hisar will significantly boost regional connectivity and catalyze economic development across the state.

Slams Congress For ‘Appeasement Politics’

PM Modi strongly criticized the Congress party, accusing it of decades of appeasement and neglect toward the nation’s armed forces and marginalized communities.

“Haryana is a land where many youth join the armed forces, yet Congress betrayed them with false promises on One Rank One Pension (OROP),” he said.

He also alleged misuse of Waqf land and promised protection for tribal and marginalised groups under the new Waqf laws.

“The new provisions ensure that no tribal land or property can be touched by the Waqf Board. The rights of the poor, especially Pasmanda Muslims, women, and widows, will be protected. This is true social justice,” he asserted.

Questions Congress’s Stand On Reservation And UCC

Taking a dig at the Congress government in Karnataka, PM Modi accused it of granting religion-based reservations, violating constitutional principles laid down by Dr BR Ambedkar.

“Babasaheb Ambedkar clearly opposed religion-based reservation. Congress has only harmed the Muslim community through its politics of appeasement,” he said.

He accused Congress of turning the Constitution into a tool for political gain and ignoring its core values.

“They trampled the Constitution during the Emergency and continue to disregard its true spirit,” PM Modi remarked.
