On Friday, December 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, seeking blessings for the successful organization of the Maha Kumbh 2025, which will take place from January 13 to February 26. The Prime Minister participated in the revered Triveni Aarti, performing rituals at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, surrounded by spiritual leaders and dignitaries.
PM Modi’s Arrival At Sangam Nose Aboard Nishadraj Cruise
PM Modi arrived at the Sangam Nose aboard the Nishadraj Cruise, boarding from the floating jetty at Kila Ghat. Dressed in a white kurta-pajama, blue jacket, and maroon shawl, the Prime Minister took a moment to admire the tranquil waves of the Yamuna River from the deck of the cruise.
He strolled along the riverbank, taking in the sights and sounds of the sacred location. Upon reaching the Sangam Nose, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel warmly welcomed the Prime Minister.

Before commencing the rituals, PM Modi sought the blessings of prominent saints who were present at the site. The Prime Minister greeted the spiritual leaders with deep respect, and in a special gesture, a saint presented him with a pearl garland as a token of blessings.
Performing Sacred Rituals With Reverence
The Prime Minister then proceeded to a specially constructed pandal at the Sangam Nose, where he sat alongside CM Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel. As Vedic mantras resonated in the air, PM Modi participated in sacred rituals, including the Jalabhishek and Dudhbhishek of the Triveni. These rituals are integral to honoring the holy confluence of the three rivers.
Following the rituals, PM Modi performed the Sangam Aarti with reverence, praying for global welfare and peace. The ceremony was conducted with great devotion by the Tirth Purohits, who chanted traditional mantras throughout the process.

After the rituals, PM Modi participated in a photoshoot in the beautifully adorned courtyard at Sangam Nose, marking the solemn occasion. His visit underscored the significance of the upcoming Maha Kumbh and the importance of spiritual traditions for the welfare of the nation.
Dignitaries And Officials In Attendance
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh were also present during this significant event, lending their support to the preparations for the grand Maha Kumbh 2025.
