With Independence Day approaching on 15 August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens across India to contribute their ideas and suggestions for his annual address from the Red Fort.
In a post on the social media platform, PM Modi called for active public participation in shaping this year’s speech. This continues his longstanding effort to make governance more inclusive and participatory.

As India prepares to celebrate its 79th year of independence, this year’s themes will likely focus on national unity, technological advancement, and a forward-looking vision for the future, with the 80th independence anniversary on the horizon in 2026.
Citizens can now submit their thoughts via the MyGov portal or the NaMo App.
Selected entries may be featured in the Prime Minister’s speech, offering Indians a unique chance to have their voices heard from the iconic Red Fort stage.
