Ajit Pawar faction and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar faction will hold a meeting on Wednesday. According to reports both the parties claim to have support from maximum party members . Ajit Pawar will hold the meeting at 11 am whereas Sharad Pawar will conduct NCP meeting at 1 pm.
After Ajit Pawar’s rebellion, Sharad Pawar removed Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare for indulging in Anti-party activities. Narendra Rathod, Vijay Deshmukh and Shivajirao Garje were also sacked for attending the oath ceremony. Not only this, NCP Supremo also passed disqualification notice against Ajit Pawar and 8 others who joined Eknath Shinde faction.
In response to this Ajit Pawar sacked Jayant Patil, state NCP Chief and asked speaker to disqualify Jayant from House Membership. However Deputy Chief Minsiter of Maharashtra said, “There are notices against 9 of us, I don’t think the notice has any value. We have the party with us.”
Congress will conduct a meeting today to discuss further strategy. The grand old party has maximum number of MLA in Maharashtra Assembly therefore it seeks the post of opposition. On Sunday, replacing Ajit Pawar, Jitendra Awhad was made the Opposition Leader.
Uddhav Thackeray faction will also be holding a meeting today to discuss political developments in state. Shiv Sena(UBT) mouth piece ‘Saamana’ claimed that soon Ajit Pawar will take over position of Eknath Shinde as Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
