To be installed in Uttar Pradesh transport soon
A nice initiative was taken under Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream safe city project. As from now on, Panic Buttons and CCTVs will be in place in the buses run by the Uttar Pradesh government, cabs run by Ola and Uber. This is primarily done to ensure the safety of women, girls and the senior citizens.

This project will be functional in 17 municipal corporations and Gautam Budh Nagar. The CCTV cameras and panic buttons are being integrated with UP-112 by the Transport Department. Under this system the passengers can obtain help by simply pressing the panic button in case of any emergency while travelling. Once the signal is received, the UP-112 team will be activated and provide immediate assistance. Thus, a pleasant and a safe journey can be obtained.

On behalf on Uttar Pradesh Transport department, CRISIL Company has been granted tender to install CCTV cameras and panic buttons in city buses and integrate them with UP-112. Shortly, the CCTV cameras and panic buttons will be integrated with UP-112. In addition, the work of testing integration with Uber has been completed by the Transport Department.
A sum of Rs 9.912 lakh for installation of CCTVs and panic buttons has been made and sent to the government. Once the government approves the proposal, the project is all set to commence.
