The Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya is now being built, and contributions are being offered in various forms from all around the nation. In this regard, a four and a half foot high Shivlinga that would be established in the Shiv temple of the Ramlala temple complex in Ayodhya was created by removing a sizable boulder from the Narmada river at Omkareshwar, the Madhya Pradesh pilgrimage city.

This Shivlinga is being pulled by a unique chariot. On August 23, this yatra will arrive in Ayodhya. Anandiben Patel, the governor of Madhya Pradesh, would reportedly be present in Omkareshwar during the Narmadeshwar Shivling Yatra, it has been reported. on the 23rd of August Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will hand over Narmadeshwar Shivling to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Ayodhya.
The Shivlinga which is going to be conscecrated in the Ram mandir Ayodhya was ritually anointed at the banks of narmada river. As the construction work is taking its pace at Ayodhya, preparations for the consecration of idols are also being done. Along with Ram Darbar Shivling wil also be placed in the temple. For this purpose a shivlinga will be brought from Omkareshwar that is the fourth jyotirlinga. The responsiblity for this work has been given to Sant Shri Narmadanand ji Maharaj.
The Shivlinga weighs around 600 Kgs and measure upto 4.30 feets. The ritual worshipping of the shivalinga would take place regularly on the way to Ayodhya temple. It will reach the destination by 23 August. The shivlinga is made from stone extracted from holy water of Narmada. It is Said that ” every Rock and pebble found in Narmada River is a shivlinga.”

A rectangular wall is also being built in the Ram temple complex of Ayodhya, which will be fourteen feet wide. Six different temples are being built in this park, in which there will be a Shiva temple. The Narmadeshwar Shivling being taken from Omkareshwar will be established in this Shiva temple.
On the orders of the Supreme Court, the committee constituted by the government is getting the construction work done for the Ram temple. The general secretary of the committee, Champat Rai, had written a letter on July 17, 2023, to Sant Shri Shri 1008 Shri Narmadanand Bapji Maharaj of Omkareshwar’s Nazar Nihal Ashram, demanding the Narmadeshwar Shivling be obtained from the Narmada river.
On the demand of Champat Rai, a four and a quarter feet high Shivling has been specially made by taking out a huge rock from the Narmada river. Saint Narmadanand ji has told that for the construction of this Shivling from the river Narmada, earlier also many people had tried to remove the heavy rock from the foothills of Narmada. But they failed.
He claimed that this rock had now been removed from the Narmada on Ayodhya’s request and with difficulty. As though Bholenath’s eagerness to visit Ayodhya is aiding us. This enormous boulder, which was extracted from the Narmada River’s depths, was used to build the Narmadeshwar Shivling.
The local preists and hindu community expressed their gratitude and said “…We the people of this land are fortunate enough to witness something so spiritual…It is a matter of pride.”
Shivling was worshiped in the ashram of Mahamandaleshwar Shri Narmadanand Maharaj of Nazar Nihal Ashram situated on the banks of Narmada and on 23rd August The said shivlinga will reach the newly constructed temple of Lord Shri Ram with a grand procession of devotees.

Narmadeshwar Shivling has been kept in the ashram itself after worshiping it according to the rules and regulations. A large number of Pandit priests, saints, Mahatma sadhus and people of the city came to visit the ashram.

According to belief that every rock and pebble extracted from Maa Narmada is a shivlinga. The Shivling is made by carving the stones that come out of the water. It is called Narmadeshwar Shivling, it is installed directly in the temples. People can also keep small Shivling in homes. Because every pebble that comes out from Maa Narmada is called Shankar.
