Noida Men Celebrated Birthday On Mid-Road, 4 Arrested

Four men were taken into custody by the police on Monday after their video of celebrating birthday in the middle of the street in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, appeared on social media. On Sunday night, the incident took place in Noida’s Sector 1 close to the Birla Institute of Technology.

The widely shared video showed a group of men gathered around a cot that had been set up in the middle of the street with many cakes on top. As several cars try to pass by them, the men are seen making a scene by blocking traffic. According to the video, the men, who are allegedly intoxicated, also set burst firecrackers.

Many onlookers recorded the scene with their phones and uploaded photos and videos to social media. After learning about the incident, a team from the Phase 1 police station reached the location.

On X Official Twitter account of Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddh Nagar shared picture of the men’s blurred faces and wrote, ‘In the said case, police station Phase-1 arrested 04 people and took preventive action.”

In Uttar Pradesh, this is not the first incident. This year in July, in sector-24 four people were detained by Gautam Buddha Nagar police for celebrating with fireworks and cutting cakes on road.
