At the Boodles Tennis competition at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, Mrs. Nita M. Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, gave Diego Schwartzman the first Reliance Foundation ESA Cup. The Boodles at Stoke Park, which this year marks its 19th year and is taking place from June 27 to July 1, 2023, is a really unique exhibition tennis event that serves as the most opulent warm-up for The Championships at Wimbledon. The 17th-century Stoke Park estate’s immaculate grounds will host a day of unrivalled hospitality in addition to a high-caliber tennis tournament including tennis legends. It boasts a lively English garden party vibe, with top-notch tennis being played in secluded and stunning settings.
The award of the Reliance Foundation ESA Cup will be presented on each of the 5 days of The Boodles tennis.
On Tuesday, June 27, Mrs. Nita M. Ambani gave the winning Argentinian, Diego Schwartzman, the first Reliance Foundation ESA Cup and donated money to Action4Youth, a Buckinghamshire, UK-based organization that we are aware is important to today’s winner.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Nita M. Ambani, Founder and Chairperson, Reliance Foundation said “It was an absolutely amazing atmosphere out here as we got to watch some great tennis and celebrate the importance of sports in bringing a community together. The opportunity of also serving charitable causes through a day of great sporting action makes this even more meaningful. I wish and encourage all the young people in this community to take up any sport of your choice and bring to yourself and to those around you the spirit of enthusiasm, conviction, positive attitude and resilience to life, the joy that we hope will also make this community an even more charming place to be in.”

The first Indian woman to be elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee, Mrs. Nita M. Ambani is the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation and has made significant contributions to the growth of India’s sporting infrastructure in both football and athletics. By supporting numerous athletes competing in various Olympic sports, the organisation has also made a significant contribution to the Indian Olympic movement.

Inspiring the next generation through Education and Sports for All
The theme of ESA Day in India this year was empowering girls. A live Indian Premier League cricket match was witnessed by almost 19,000 young females from 36 NGOs and 200 special children at the stadium, an opportunity the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation believed would encourage more girls to participate in sports.
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, a first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural space in the field of the arts, hosted 3400 children from low-income backgrounds, including particularly gifted children and senior citizens, for the final two performances of “The Sound of Music” as part of the Education and Sports for All programme in India. It was Mrs. Nita M Ambani’s idea to protect and advance India’s rich art, culture, and heritage through varied art forms.
Through Stoke Park’s community outreach programmes, the Reliance Foundation ESA programme is dedicated to assisting causes that benefit the neighbourhood. These efforts include collaborating with nonprofit organisations on various projects designed to motivate and inspire kids and teenagers in the neighbourhood to participate in sports and academics. As part of this, local schools are supported through a variety of education initiatives, with a particular focus on helping kids from poor homes. It also involves sponsoring local athletes, talent inclusion, and local athletic events.
