The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) organized a special dialogue session with madrasa children in Delhi as part of its ‘Sadbhavna Saptah’ initiative. The event, held at a local madrasa, featured prominent speakers, including Indresh Kumar, a senior member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and mentor of the Manch. The session was charged with patriotic fervor as children and participants raised slogans of ‘Inqlab Zindabad,’ ‘Vande Mataram,’ and ‘Jai Hind.’
Indresh Kumar, in his address to the madrasa children, asked an important question: “What do you want to become when you grow up? A scientist, doctor, engineer, or an administrative officer?” His question aimed to inspire the students to dream big and pursue their ambitions in various fields.
Kumar further emphasized the importance of modern education alongside religious teachings. “To excel in science, medicine, engineering, and other fields, you must also be proficient in subjects like mathematics, science, social studies, and technical education,” he said. He shared examples, such as the need for aspiring doctors to master subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology, alongside religious studies.
Indresh Kumar also stressed that education is the most significant tool for progress. He appealed to the parents of madrasa students to not only focus on religious education but also ensure their children excel in modern subjects to play an active role in the country’s development.

“Only the combination of nationalism and education will propel India to become a world leader,” Kumar said, motivating the youth, especially in the Muslim community, to engage with mainstream education. He urged the children to first identify as “Indians” and prioritize humanity, patriotism, and national identity, over any singular religious affiliation.
Indresh Kumar shared inspiring stories from India’s freedom struggle, including the contributions of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. Zakir Hussain, and Sardar Patel. He emphasized that India’s freedom was achieved through the unity of its people, irrespective of religion, and urged all to strengthen the nation’s culture of unity.
“The slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ represents not just a phrase but a symbol of our collective culture,” Kumar added. He further encouraged the youth to continue contributing to the progress and unity of the nation.
Dr. Shahid Akhtar, Acting Chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI), highlighted the need to integrate modern education with madrasa teachings. He stressed that madrasa students should not only focus on religious education but also pursue subjects like science, mathematics, and vocational skills.
Dr. Akhtar called for madrasas to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring that students are well-equipped for success in all fields of study. “Education must evolve to ensure that the next generation contributes to building a better India,” he said.
Dr. Shalini Ali, National Convener of the forum, underscored the importance of educating women and children, noting that an educated woman is pivotal in educating an entire family. The forum announced plans to provide self-employment training to women in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan, offering resources such as sewing machines, tuition centers, and computer training. Dr. Ali emphasized that empowering women would lead to the empowerment of families, societies, and the country at large.
The Muslim Rashtriya Manch’s efforts extend beyond education. The organization inaugurated a 550-bed cancer hospital, ‘Medicent Cancer Hospital and Research Center,’ in Bokaro, Jharkhand. The hospital aims to provide affordable treatment to cancer patients, especially those from Jharkhand and Northeast India. Dr. Majid Talikoti, Managing Director of the hospital, shared the mission of providing accessible healthcare to the needy.
The ‘Sadbhavna Saptah’ campaign was not confined to Delhi. MRM workers across India have been actively engaging in various service activities. These include distributing ration, warm clothes, and medicines to the needy in states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Blood donation camps were organized in Lucknow and Dehradun, while environmental campaigns and tree plantation drives took place in Bhopal and Jaipur.
The MRM also conducted ‘Sadbhavna Yatra’ events in Patna and Bhopal, where people from all communities participated. Additionally, prayers for peace and unity were offered in mosques, temples, churches, and gurudwaras nationwide.
The Muslim Rashtriya Manch reiterated that ‘Sadbhavna Saptah’ is not just a one-week initiative but a continuous movement toward national service, unity, and brotherhood. Forum leaders committed to reaching every village, city, and community, working together for the advancement of education, health, employment, and social service.
Through these efforts, MRM aims to foster a spirit of national integration, shared responsibility, and progress for all.
