The third straight term of the National Democratic Alliance begins with the oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. The swearing-in ceremony of Modi 3.0 begins as the PM and Union Cabinet is currently taking at Rashtra Pati Bhavan.
President Droupadi Murmu gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi the oath of office this evening. Rajnath Singh took the oath of office second after Prime Minister Modi suggested that he would be the second-most important minister.
President Droupadi Murmu was to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari next.
The current president of the BJP, JP Nadda, also took an oath as minister.
Former chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Manohar Lal Khattar, also took oath.
Numerous eminent and distinguished individuals from various industries, such as the corporate world, business fraternity, entertainment sector, and others, attended the swearing-in ceremony.
It was an unforgettable occasion because of the attendance of prominent figures for Modi 3.0 from India’s neighbourhood, such as Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth of Mauritius, President Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives, and Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan.
Other international leaders present at the vibrant event held at Rashtrapati Bhavan included President Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, Vice-President Ahmed Afif of Seychelles, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” of Nepal, and President Ranil Wickremesinghe of Sri Lanka.
PM Modi met with a number of NDA MPs earlier in the day. Several of them took oath as Union Ministers.
The change in power dynamics is what sets Modi 3.0 apart from the first two Modi administrations.
The Modi government had an absolute majority during its first two years in office. BJP required the support of the allies to cross the threshold of 272.
