In a historic move to ramp up the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India, India’s leading SUV maker Mahindra & Mahindra today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energy.
The MoU signed between Mahindra and ATEL will prepare a roadmap for the creation of EV charging infrastructure across the country. Additionally, e-mobility will offer a solution to provide seamless access to the charging network for customers covering partnership, availability, navigation and transactions. With this collaboration, XUV400 customers will now have access to over 1100 chargers on the Bluesense+ app, significantly enhancing the convenience and accessibility of charging for Mahindra EV owners.
Vijay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Limited, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Adani Total Energy. This agreement will help expand the EV charging infrastructure and ensure that our customers enjoy seamless access to charging networks and digital integration. “In line with our commitment to enhance customer experience with the partnership network, we are actively engaging multiple partners to strengthen the EV ecosystem, thereby driving the adoption of electric vehicles.”
Suresh P Mangalani, Executive Director and CEO, Adani Total Gas Limited, said, “This is another step towards Adani Total Gas Limited’s expansion in the EV sector. “Collaboration with M&M for charging infrastructure will boost confidence.” Customers will adopt EV technology as part of the energy transition. “Together we will help reduce carbon emissions, and help India meet its climate goals.”
In line with COP 26 commitments, this partnership between Mahindra and ATEL is a testament to the collaborative efforts needed to decarbonize transportation and move towards an electric and sustainable future.
