Maharashtra government orders formation of SIT to investigate SSR’s Manager Disha Salian’s Death

The creation of a special investigation team (SIT) to look into the death of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager, Disha Salian, has been ordered in writing by the Maharashtra government.

After looking into the case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) came to the conclusion that the death was an accident. According to the CBI’s statement, Salian lost her balance while drinking and fell off the building’s terrace, which is how she died.

Top sources told CNN-News18 that the directives were given to the Mumbai Police Commissioner by the Maharashtra Additional Chief Secretary (Home). According to reliable sources, the Mumbai Police Commissioner was instructed to carry out “further investigation” into the case by a letter sent on Monday by the office of ACS (Home).

An official said, “As it was a commitment that was given on the floor of the House last year, the orders are a formality now.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Maharashtra had accused Aaditya Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena UBT, of being involved in the case. Leaders of the ruling coalition have stated that there are grave accusations that require careful examination during the current assembly session.

Since the case is old and was previously looked into by the Mumbai Police and the CBI, many of the key elements have already been looked into. However, the State Home Department has ordered the police to conduct additional research into the allegations.

On the reports of creation of SIT, Thackeray said, ““Out of fear, the BJP is conspiring in all these things. It is a long-time strategy of the BJP to malign the image of the opposition leader by leveling fake charges, allegations of corruption, etc.”
