Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, accompanied by his family, took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Thursday. As he immersed himself in the holy waters, Saini prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of Haryana, reflecting his deep spiritual connection to the grand event.
Upon his arrival in Prayagraj, Saini was warmly welcomed by Uttar Pradesh’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, who greeted him with a ceremonial Kumbh Kalash. The Haryana CM expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government, which has successfully transformed Maha Kumbh into a grand and divine spectacle.
Saini praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting the event’s global significance as a symbol of India’s spiritual strength and cultural heritage. He stated that Maha Kumbh 2025 would be remembered as a testament to the glorious traditions of Sanatan Dharma, drawing millions of devotees from around the world.
Despite the joyous occasion, CM Saini took a strong stance against those attempting to disrupt the event by spreading negativity. He denounced the actions of individuals who, driven by a pre-planned agenda, focused on criticizing rather than appreciating the positive aspects of Maha Kumbh.
Saini called for a constructive approach, urging critics to contribute solutions rather than misinforming the public. He emphasized that Maha Kumbh is a sacred event for millions, and efforts to derail its success should not be tolerated.
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, who also attended the Maha Kumbh, shared his admiration for the exceptional crowd management and logistical arrangements.
Praising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his leadership, Prasad noted that nearly 40 crore devotees had already visited the event. He added that on a single day, over one crore people participated in the holy dip.
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad went on to highlight the extraordinary challenge of managing such a massive congregation, urging top global universities to study Maha Kumbh’s event organization as a case study in crowd management.
He called it an unprecedented feat to ensure accommodation and facilities for 40-50 crore people over two months, a remarkable achievement that deserves recognition in the field of large-scale event management.
