Lok Sabha Elections: PM Modi To File Nomination From Varanasi On May 14

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will file his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha seat in Varanasi on May 14 but before that he will perform a road show in his parliamentary constituency on May 13.

PM Modi would first pay homage to the Madan Mohan Malviya statue at the main entrance of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Lanka before beginning the roadshow and it will continue till the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

Thousands of people and party members are expected to participate in the roadshow.

Regional president Dilip Patel announced during the Lok Sabha management committee meeting in Varanasi that PM Modi’s roadshow will begin with garlanding Malviya statue in Lanka.

“It will go to the Vishwanath Corridor via Assi, Sonarpura, Jangam Bari, Godaulia, and Bansphatak,” he added.

During this, PM Modi will receive a warm welcome. The employees are being given tasks to complete in order to make the road show historic.

Tomorrow is scheduled to see meetings of every assembly constituency in the Varanasi parliamentary seat. Meetings with employees from each of the 21 divisions will thereafter take place on a single day. The organization is working hard to be ready for this roadshow, hoping that thousands of workers would attend.

The Prime Minister’s stronghold is Varanasi. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2014 and 2019, he was victorious twice.

In Varanasi, the Congress has pitted PM Modi against Ajay Rai, the head of the Uttar Pradesh Congress. Ajay Rai will go on PM Modi in a Lok Sabha contest for the third time.
