Leaders Extend Heartfelt Diwali Wishes; Emphasizes Prosperity, Unity, & Compassion

As millions across India and around the globe prepared to celebrate Diwali, national leaders including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah shared heartfelt messages, wishing citizens prosperity, unity, and compassion.

Taking to X, President Murmu posted, “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad.”

“Diwali is a festival of happiness and enthusiasm. This festival symbolises the victory of knowledge over ignorance and good over evil. Various communities in India and abroad celebrate this festival with a great zeal. This festival also kindles hope for a brighter future,” she added.

The President further stated, “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, we should illuminate our conscience, adopt virtues of love and compassion, and promote social harmony. This festival is also an opportunity to help the deprived and needy and share our happiness with them.”

“Let us be proud of the glorious heritage of India. With faith in goodness, let us celebrate a pollution-free Diwali and pledge to build a healthy, prosperous and responsible society,” President Murmu asserted.

Additionally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined in sending his good wishes, using the festival as a reminder of unity.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Heartfelt greetings to fellow citizens on the occasion of Diwali. On this divine festival of lights, I wish everyone a healthy, joyful, and prosperous life. May everyone be blessed by the grace of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his greetings, stating, “Heartfelt greetings to all fellow citizens on the festival of lights, Diwali. May this Diwali bring new energy, good health, and prosperity into your lives.”

Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, holds deep cultural significance as a time to foster joy, connection, and the triumph of good. The messages from leaders however underscored this ethos, encouraging every citizen to embrace compassion and work towards a bright and inclusive future for India.
