Kerala Train Attack: Personal Anger Or A Devious Terrorist Plot? Police Investigating On The Suspect

Kerala Train Attack: Personal anger or a devious terrorist plot? According to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday, a special investigative team of the Kerala Police would look into the deaths of three persons after a passenger lit co-passenger on fire inside a moving train in Kozhikode. In addition to the victims of the incident, eight additional passengers aboard the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train suffered burn wounds.

According to reports, one of them is in critical condition. The police suspected the attacker to be “Sharukh Saifi” because of a name that was written on a notepad that was found in a backpack that was thought to belong to the attacker. A cell phone without a SIM card, a few pieces of clothing, and some food were all included in the backpack.

According to authorities, a murder complaint has been filed against the suspect.

The discovery of a suspicious bag in the Kerala Train incident, however, has forced the authorities to look into a potential “terror angle” in the case.

Sources claim that the phone was turned off in Delhi a few days ago. Based on information from passengers in the compartment, the police also made a drawing of the culprit and distributed it.

In the meantime, the state government has established an 18-person special investigative team for the Kerala train incident under the leadership of P Vikraman, SP, Malappuram’s crime branch. Although a terrorist connection to the entire incident has not been ruled out, central agencies have been charged with monitoring the inquiry as the arsonist’s motivation remained a mystery.
