Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Takes Dig At Rahul Gandhi, Calls Him ‘Immature Politician’

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, calling him a non-serious and immature politician as the 2024 election day draws closer.

“Many times when serious political developments happened in the Country, Rahul Gandhi was not here. It is the experience of the people in the country that he is not a serious politician. We refrained from commenting on it because he is from another party and it is their internal issue. But during the time of the general election, coming here and making comments in support of central investigation agencies is highly immature,” Vijayan said during a press conference here.

Rahul Gandhi had questioned why CM Vijayan was being spared punishment by central investigative agencies for the several scandals against his administration while other opposition leaders were being hounded earlier in his campaign speech in Kerala.

In addition, Vijayan declined to condemn the comments made by LDF MLA PV Anvar, who requested that Rahul Gandhi’s DNA be examined to see if he was a descendant of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty.

According to the Chief Minister, one faces severe consequences for their words and deeds.

Earlier Anvar delivered a biting critique, claiming that Rahul Gandhi had descended to such a low place that he was no longer entitled to use the Gandhi surname. He asserted that a member of the Gandhi family by birth could not behave in the same manner as Rahul.

In the meantime, Chief Minister Vijayan stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments regarding the Muslim community during the Banswara election campaign in Rajasthan are intended to incite communal divisiveness and are defamatory.
