Rouse Avenue Court To Hear Pul Bangash Case On December 2

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and BRS leader K Kavita, appeared in Rouse Avenue Court via video conferencing on Monday as part of the ongoing investigation into the Delhi liquor policy scam. The court, presided over by Special Judge Kaveri Baveja, extended the judicial custody of all accused individuals until October 8.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a seventh supplementary charge sheet on May 17, naming Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as accused in the case. The allegations involve corruption and money laundering related to the Delhi government’s 2021-22 excise policy, which has since been revoked.

Kavita was arrested at her residence in Banjara Hills on March 15. To date, the investigation has led to the arrest of 18 individuals in connection with the case. While Kejriwal, Sisodia, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Kavita, Vijay Nair, and Sameer Mahendru have all been granted bail, the legal proceedings continue to unfold.

The ongoing case highlights significant concerns about the alleged financial misconduct associated with the implementation of the now-canceled excise policy. As the investigation progresses, further developments are expected in the coming weeks.
