‘Kavyanjali’ To Be held in New Delhi Today, Bharat Express MD Upendra Rai Will Be Present At Event

On Monday (July 19, 2023), the ‘Kavyanjali’ program will be organised by Mahakavi Gopaldas Neeraj Foundation Trust at Delhi’s Press Club of India. Chetan Sharma, Additional Solicitor General of Delhi High Court will be the chief guest in this program. At the same time, the Patron of the Trust and the Chairman, MD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, Upendra Rai will be present. Apart from this, actors Annu Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav will also participate in this program. The event will start at 7 pm in the evening.

Today is the death anniversary of Gopaldas Neeraj who is known for his songs and ghazals. Veteran lyricist gave many evergreen songs to Bollywood. He may not be in with us today, but his work in poetry, literature and film world has made him immortal. On July 19, 2018, Gopaldas Neeraj said goodbye to the world forever.

Gopaldas ‘Neeraj’ was born on 4 January 1925 in Puravli village near Maheva block of Etawah district. He was the first person to be honored twice by the Government of India in the field of education and literature. For the first time he was awarded the Padma Shri while after that he was awarded the Padma Bhushan. At the same time, he also received the Filmfare Award three times in a row for the best song writer.
