Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Slams US-Israel Aggression On Iran; Urges Global Action For Peace

The Central Advisory Council of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) held its session on 22 June 2025. JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini chaired the meeting. On the first day, the Council unanimously adopted a resolution on the worsening Middle East situation.

The Council strongly condemned the United States’ military offensive against Iran. It expressed full solidarity with the Iranian people.

According to the resolution, the US and Israel are directly responsible for the current escalation. The Council said their actions violate international law and the UN Charter. It warned that the attacks threaten peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Council slams Western silence and double standards

The Council criticised the silence of major Western powers. It said their inaction encourages Israeli aggression and worsens the crisis.

The resolution condemned the continued bombardment of Iran’s nuclear sites and civilian areas.

JIH warned that the attacks could trigger a long and destructive war. It found it alarming that no global body has presented proof of Iran violating its nuclear agreement. Despite that, the US carried out unilateral strikes.

The Council said the move was dangerous and irresponsible. It warned of mass casualties, infrastructure collapse, displacement, and economic damage.

The Council also denounced global double standards. It said the world labels Israeli aggression as ‘self-defence’ and calls Iran’s response ‘terrorism’. JIH called this hypocrisy a threat to peace and justice.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind urges India and global community to act

The Council urged the Indian government to launch a diplomatic initiative. It asked India to push for a ceasefire and de-escalation. It called on India to uphold its foreign policy ideals—non-alignment, anti-imperialism, and support for oppressed nations.

The resolution also appealed to the international community. It asked for:

  • An end to US-Israel military aggression,
  • Prosecution of Israeli war crimes, and
  • A halt to attacks on nuclear sites and civilians.

The Council called on Muslim-majority countries to act beyond words. It urged them to take coordinated action to stop the attacks.

Finally, it appealed to peace-loving citizens across India and the world. It asked them to stand with Iran and all oppressed communities in the region. It urged them to speak out against US and Israeli aggression in the interest of global peace.
