Jaipur Mentally Challenged Woman Dragged By Hair, Beaten Mercilessly By Mob, 7 Arrested

A heart wrenching and disturbing video came to light after the clip went viral on social media today morning, a mentally unstable woman is seen being assaulted by mob in Jaipur which has left the mass agitated. As per the reports, the incident took place on July 20.

In the disturbing video, the mob dragged the woman on ground and hit her back to back. Agitated people mercilessly drenched her with dirty water. Though the police tried to protect victim but cops were highly outnumbered by the mob. Police personnel helped the women by giving her support on her way to police vehicle. For nearly 10 days no action was taken in this regard. After the video got viral, Rajasthan Police took quick action and arrested 7 accused in connection with the incident.

Reason behind mob turning violent was quoted that the mentally challenged women allegedly burnt pages of Holy Quran, victim tried to save herself from violence, in an attempt of doing so she hid herself in upper storey building. However, her attempt failed as the angry men as shown in video, broke the gates of building and dragged her on the mud to road before brutally beating her.

Though the police tried protecting the woman but no action was taken for next 10 days until the clip got viral today morning. DCP East Gyanchand Yadav about the ongoing investigation in the case.
