An Indigo flight, 6E 7308, en route from Jabalpur to Hyderabad, was diverted to Nagpur on Sunday following a bomb threat. Upon arrival in Nagpur, all passengers were safely disembarked, and mandatory security checks were swiftly conducted. Indigo issued a statement apologizing for the inconvenience caused, stating, “Passengers were provided with assistance and refreshments. We sincerely apologize for any disruption this incident may have caused.”
In a separate incident on August 22, a bomb threat led to a full emergency at Thiruvananthapuram airport. An Air India flight arriving from Mumbai was diverted to an isolation bay upon landing at 8am. Passengers were safely evacuated by 8:44am. The threat was reported by the pilot around 7:30am as the aircraft approached Thiruvananthapuram. The flight, carrying 135 passengers, was handled with utmost priority to ensure safety.
