The Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, Upendra Rai, spoke at the International Media Center during the G20 Summit, stating that it was a successful diplomatic event for India.

He mentioned that India did not want China to dominate the G20 Summit, and it was a positive development that Chinese President Xi Jinping did not attend. This decision avoided potential complications for India, especially concerning the conflict in Ukraine, where many major countries, especially the United States, had imposed sanctions on Russia.

During the G20 Summit, India’s role was significant, and it was perceived as acting not as a developing nation but as a developed one. India managed its diplomacy independently, even in challenging times.

India also played a crucial role in countering China’s influence in Africa and provided assistance to countries like Sri Lanka during times of crisis when China did not.

India’s efforts to promote the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family) were acknowledged, even in the face of opposition from China. India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, including its Vedic traditions, played a significant role in conveying this message.

Despite opposition, India successfully established “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” as a slogan that resonated with people. India’s rich spiritual and religious traditions, including its Vedic heritage, contributed to the promotion of this concept.

In the current global landscape, where China holds a significant share in manufacturing, its rapid economic growth is attributed to its administrative framework and leadership.

Chairman Upendra Rai compared China to a person who may have wealth and material possessions but lacks moral values and behavior. He highlighted India’s character and the assistance it provided to its neighboring countries during challenging times, emphasizing the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
