PM Modi meets UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Prime Minister Modi arrived at the final stop of his two-nation visit in Abu Dhabi. This visit is going to last for a day only. PM is going to meet UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They will be discussing on bilateral ties between India And UAE. Just the day before, PM Modi visited France. “I look forward to meeting my friend, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” Prime Minister Modi said in his departure statement on Thursday.
PM Modi receives ceremonial welcome
On arriving, PM Modi received a ceremonial welcome in Abu Dhabi. He was respectfully welcomed by the UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Discussions of COP-28 on PM Modi’s visit to UAE
Prime Minister then went on to meet Dr Sultan Al Jaber, President-designate of COP 28 UAE and Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. With him, PM held a discussion on the upcoming COP-28. India also kept its foot forward in support of UAE’s COP-28 presidency. PM also highlighted India’s efforts and initiatives to address climate change

Indian PM meets UAE President
Finally, the Prime Minister met the President of Abu Dhabi. After meeting him, PM Modi stated, “I am happy to be in Abu Dhabi and to meet you. I thank you for the warm welcome… Every Indian sees you as a true friend.”
The two diplomats discussed on bilateral trade settlement between UAE and India. The two wishes to make the settlement in their local currencies which will be really beneficial. As per the reports, bilateral trade between India and UAE has increased by 20%. Now the target for the same is set to $100 billion.

IIT Delhi in Abu Dhabi
Just a few days ago, news about the first foreign campus of IIT came up. The campus will be located in Zanzibar, Africa. It is also to have the first woman directorate of IIT in the history. In less than a month’s time, MoU (memorandum of understanding) is signed by The Union Ministry of Education and Abu Dhabi’s Education and Knowledge Department (ADEK) to set up IIT Delhi campus in Abu Dhabi. This has happened in less than a month’s time of the signing of MoU for establishment of IIT in Zanzibar.
