Widows in Vrindavan celebrated Holi 2025 with joy and vibrant colors, breaking long-standing traditions.

Often rejected by society, these women have relied on support from the government, NGOs, and local temples.
However, the celebration of Widows’ Holi marks a major cultural shift. Widows, once expected to avoid festivals, now join the colorful celebrations with happiness.
This change symbolizes acceptance and compassion, helping them reclaim joy and dignity.
Holi Festivities Begin Nationwide
Meanwhile, Holi celebrations have started across the country. Markets are bustling with people buying colors, pichkaris, and festive essentials.
Homes are decorated, and sweets like gujiya are being prepared. Excitement is building as the festival approaches.
On March 10, 2025, devotees celebrated Rangbhari Ekadashi at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
The temple was filled with devotion and color. Participants eagerly took part in the rituals, marking the start of Holi celebrations.
In addition, the traditional Lathmar Holi began in Nandagaon on Sunday.
Similarly, devotees in Barsana celebrated Laddu Mar Holi at the Shri Ladliji Maharaj Temple by playfully throwing sweets at each other.
CM Yogi Inaugurates Rangotsav 2025
Furthermore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Rangotsav 2025 at Shri Radha Bihari Inter College in Barsana, Mathura.
He showered flower petals on the crowd and announced development projects worth ₹100 crore for Mathura and Vrindavan.
CM Yogi said, “Ayodhya and Prayagraj have seen major development. Now it’s Mathura and Vrindavan’s turn. The BJP government will ensure the Yamuna is cleaned and the region is fully developed.”
