On Tuesday, police claimed to have detained six alleged drug traffickers, among them a woman, and to have found 140 kg of “ganja” and Rs 1 lakh in cash on them.
Based on confidential information, a police squad led by inspector Surender Sidhu, in charge of the Anti Narcotic Cell and Crime Branch Tauru, and supported by the Jhajjar Police began a special operation as part of the Haryana police’s drug-free drive.
The 139.28 kg of narcotics are thought to be worth over Rs 10 lakh.
In addition, two automobiles, Rs. 1 lakh in cash, and an electronic scale were all seized.
In accordance with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a case has been opened at the Sadar Tauru police station against the six drug dealers, and authorities have begun additional inquiries.
Varun Singla, the superintendent of police for Nuh, told reporters on Tuesday that the operation was carried out on Monday night as a result of getting a tip that drug traffickers had come at a single person’s home in the hamlet of Jhamuwas in district Nuh to deliver drugs.
According to him, the police team quickly responded to the information and arrested each defendant.
According to authorities, the accused was a resident of Delhi, Rajasthan, and Haryana.
