During her stay in Kashmir, Amelia was fascinated by the natural beauty of the landscape and was also impressed by the hospitality of the people here.

When she asked Kashmir if she was afraid to travel alone, Amelia said, “It wasn’t because of the political or security situation in Kashmir before coming here,” she said.
But she says: “When I told people my plan to go to Kashmir, they asked me if it was safe. “Since I’ve been here, I feel safer than anywhere else,” Amelia said. Depending on where I’ve been, I’ve had the risk of being pickedpocketed or being stalked on the road, especially at night, but I didn’t feel threatened at all here, and the people here are very polite, kind, and helpful. Amelia is from Berkshire, Newbury in the south of England and has her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bangor University in North Wales. She has a master’s degree in ecology and environmental sustainability from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. After completing her master’s degree, she worked as an ecologist in Scotland for seven years before returning to Wales to work as a teaching assistant at Bangor University. She then completed her secondary school teaching qualifications in biology and chemistry. Amelia found a job teaching biology and chemistry in Bahrain in 2016 and has lived in the Middle East ever since.
“I spent two years in Bahrain and then moved to Oman in 2018,” she says. In Oman, Amelia worked for an educational institution that organized groups of Omani students to study English in the UK and India. Her work mainly involves marketing and accompanying her children on overseas trips. “During my time in Oman, I also became a social media blogger because I traveled around the country many times, visited every place, met locals and experienced different aspects of traditional and local life. Because I’ve explored aspects and shown the beauty of this country and the nature that culture is rooted in. My social media accounts,” says Amelia. Fascinated by Kashmir, she said, “I love nature, the traditional way of life, the friendliness of the people, the breathtaking nature and scenery, the clean fresh air, the beautiful weather and the beautiful clothes made here. ” says. “I love the food here… fresh, healthy and delicious. A lot of the food comes straight from the garden. I love bread, roti and kaffa made with saffron from Kashmir. Saffron is said to be the highest quality and most expensive in the world,” says Amelia. “I am very happy to meet the people of Kashmir. I felt very comfortable living in my family’s house.
