Over 2,000 residents of Devika Skypers Society in Raj Nagar Extension continue to suffer due to ongoing builder negligence. Despite a 2021 court order, the builder has failed to provide basic amenities like parking, clean water, power backup, sewage management, and security.
Residents said they have paid in full and regularly cleared maintenance dues. Yet, they are forced to live with contaminated water, malfunctioning lifts, poor upkeep, and no proper security.
“The builder is openly defying court orders,” said Ajay Saini, President of Devika AOA. “The court ordered parking allotments in 2023. But nothing has been done yet. Even the Fire Department has issued a written notice and recommended action.”
Saini added that the builder’s attitude endangers families, especially children and senior citizens. He demanded that authorities take immediate action and transfer maintenance duties to the AOA.
Residents Report Health and Safety Risks
Resident Alankar Kumar of Tower 10 said the situation is putting lives at risk.
“We invested our life savings here. But the builder has failed to provide basic facilities. Contaminated water is affecting our children’s health.”
Another resident, Pankaj Kumar, said, “We pay maintenance on time. Yet we live in darkness, filth, and fear. This is fraud and exploitation.”
Residents said lifts often remain out of service, water tanks are dirty, and common areas are poorly maintained. The absence of working fire safety systems and guards has made society unsafe.
Residents Threaten Protest and Legal Action
The AOA has lodged multiple complaints with the District Magistrate and other departments. But officials have not taken concrete action.
Saini warned that residents would launch large-scale protests if their demands were not met. He added that they are also preparing to approach the High Court.
Residents say the issue is no longer about convenience—it is about safety, dignity, and legal rights. They urged local authorities to enforce the court orders and act against the builder without further delay.
