Preliminary investigations by police suggest the gas may have leaked from a nearby drain. Smoke from a kitchen on the building’s terrace is also being examined as a potential factor. Authorities have ruled out food poisoning but are yet to confirm the exact cause of the incident.
The incident sparked protests outside the coaching centre. Parents and locals demanded stricter safety measures, calling such lapses unacceptable in educational institutions.
Police assured the public of a thorough investigation to identify the source of the leak and hold those responsible accountable. Officials also emphasized the need for stricter adherence to safety standards to prevent such incidents.
Meanwhile, the affected students are recovering, but the event has raised serious concerns about infrastructure and safety regulations in coaching centres. Further updates are awaited as the probe continues.
