BSP supremo Mayawati
Poll bugle has been sounded by the Election Commission with the announcement of poll dates for five states. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati while welcoming the move has urged the poll governing body to conduct the polls freely and fairly.
“Everytime elections take place and usage of money and muscle power do happen. I urge the Election Commission to ensure that it doesn’t get repeated,” said Mayawati while holding a presser. She also announced that in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh her party will ally with the regional parties while she will go it alone in Rajasthan and Telangana.

She also urged the social media to refrain from broadcasting the election campaigns of the political outfits and to ensure no foul games take place. “The Supreme Court has also issued a notice against this,” she said.
She also urged that strict action be taken against violence which erupt due to casteism and communalism.

The BSP supremo has also paid a tribute to the party founder Kanshi Ram on his death anniversary at the party headquarters. “The incomplete mission of Kanshi Ram will be surely accomplished,” she said.
These days BSP has become very much irrelevant in Indian politics particularly in Uttar Pradesh.
