End Terrorism For Peaceful Relations: Farooq Abdullah Condemns Gagangir Attack

On Monday, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah condemned the recent terror attack in Gagangir, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the tragic deaths of a doctor and six construction workers.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Abdullah called for an immediate cessation of terrorism and urged Pakistani leadership to prioritize peaceful relations with India.

Abdullah stated, “I want to tell the leadership in Pakistan that if they want good relations with India, they need to put an end to this. Kashmir Pakistan nahi Banega. Let us live with dignity and succeed. If they couldn’t create a Pakistan for 75 years, how would it be possible now? It is time to end terrorism, otherwise the results will be very severe. How will talks be held if they kill our innocent people?”

Abdullah emphasized the futility of such attacks, questioning what terrorists hope to gain.

“This attack was very unfortunate. Immigrant poor labourers and a doctor lost their lives. What will the terrorists get from this? Do they think they will be able to create a Pakistan here. We are trying to put this to an end so we can move on from the misery,” he further asserted.

In response to the Gagangir incident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has dispatched a senior officer-led team to Jammu and Kashmir to investigate the attack.

Reports indicate that the terrorists targeted the construction site on Sunday evening, leading to the deaths of the victims.

Following the assault, security forces swiftly cordoned off the Gagangir area, located in Sonamarg, Ganderbal district, and launched extensive search operations to apprehend the attackers.

The incident has raised serious concerns about security in the region, as authorities work to address the escalating violence.
