Popular YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Elvish Yadav, has been granted bail after his involvement in a snake venom smuggling case. Gautam Buddha Nagar District Court approved bail for Yadav under the NDPS Act and Wildlife Protection laws, following his arrest by Noida Police. He had been held in Luxor Jail of Gautam Buddha Nagar for the past five days.
Yadav, along with five others, was arrested on March 17 and charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. He was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody and is currently undergoing interrogation by the police.

Last year, based on a complaint from the People For Animals (PFA) organization, Noida Police raided a banquet hall in Sector 51 and apprehended five individuals. The PFA had filed an FIR naming Yadav, accusing him of organizing rave parties where foreigners were invited and poisonous snakes were arranged. Noida Police invoked 29 NDPS acts against Yadav, which is typically reserved for cases involving drug-related conspiracies such as trafficking. Obtaining bail under this act is challenging.
During the raid, nine venomous snakes were seized. Removing venom glands from a snake is deemed a punishable offense under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, carrying a potential seven-year jail sentence for the offender.
