The North Central Railway launched a direct train service from Subedarganj station in Prayagraj to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. This new service responds to a long-standing request from devotees. MP Praveen Patel inaugurated the train from platform number 6 at Subedarganj railway station on Wednesday.
Previously, train number 14033/14034 operated between Delhi and Katra. The service has now been extended from Prayagraj and will adopt the new number 20433/20434 with the upcoming railway timetable in January 2024.
Advance Reservations and Ticket Availability
Advance reservations will be available from Subedarganj. The ticket booking for the train from Sangam city began on Tuesday, and all seats were booked within a day. Confirmed tickets are unavailable until October 26. RAC tickets will be available from October 27. The train features one AC First Class, two AC Second Class, six AC Third Class, seven Sleeper coaches, and four Unreserved Class coaches, along with one SLR and one SLRD coach.
Daily Schedule and Operation
The train will operate daily from Subedarganj, departing at 10:35 am and arriving in Katra at 9:15 am the next day. On the return journey, it will leave Katra at 3:20 pm and reach Subedarganj at 12:45 pm the following day. The service will run seven days a week, providing convenient travel options for passengers.
