Father of Delhi University student who was killed by a group of boys outside his college broke while talking to media. Nikhil Chauhan, a 19-year-old student, was brutally stabbed on Sunday in front of DU’s Aryabhatta College.
Sanjay, the father of deceased teenager, was seen sobbing in a video released by the news agency ANI on Monday as he spoke to reporters.
In relation to the murder of the first-year student from DU’s Aryabhatta College, two people were arrested. Rahul, a resident of the Bindapur neighbourhood of Delhi, and Haroon, a resident of Janakpuri, were named as the accused.
Nikhil Chauhan, who passed away, attended the university’s School of Open Learning. He was a resident of Pachim Vihar and a first-year BA Honours Political Science student.
Students with whom Nikhil had a fight a few days prior attacked him. According to the reports, students misbehaved with his girlfriend to which Nikhil objected which led to an argument between the two.
Manoj C, the deputy commissioner of police for South West Delhi, identified Rahul and Yash as the students who got into a fight with Nikhil on Monday.
In an effort take revenge, Rahul and his friends stabbed Nikhil on Sunday in front of the campus gate. He was carried to Charak Palika Hospital in Moti Bagh, where medical staff pronounced him dead.
