In preparation for preventing protesting farmers from entering the national capital, a senior Delhi Police officer issued directives to ground personnel, emphasizing a proactive stance in the face of potential aggression. Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Ravindra Yadav, during a visit to the fortified Singhu border, underscored the importance of maintaining a robust defense against any attempts by the agitators to breach Delhi’s borders, stating that the entire operation would fail if they succeeded.
Addressing the deployed police personnel and paramilitary forces, Yadav stressed the need for a logical and self-protective approach in dealing with aggressive demonstrators. He urged them to respond assertively to any aggression from the farmers, emphasizing the use of tear gas shells and batons for crowd control while prioritizing their safety.
Asserting the primary objective of maintaining law and order, Yadav emphasized the importance of preventing the farmers from disturbing public peace or engaging in violence. The Delhi Police had imposed Section 144 citywide and fortified its borders in anticipation of the protest.

Yadav expressed confidence that if the farmers realized they could not breach Delhi’s borders, they would likely settle near the barricades. In terms of operational strategy, Yadav urged the formation of well-coordinated teams comprising Deputy Commissioners of Police, commandants, and inspectors, with clearly defined roles. He emphasized the importance of unity among personnel and cautioned against leaving any vulnerabilities that could be exploited by the protesters.
Yadav suggested a rotational system to ensure that frontline teams remained fresh and prepared, with backup teams ready to take over when necessary. Additionally, he stressed the importance of logistical preparedness to support ongoing operations.
