
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta led the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Sindoor Yatra’ on Monday, a significant event to express gratitude towards the armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for avenging the Pahalgam terror attack.
Gupta emphasised that the Yatra was more than just a ceremonial occasion, stating it symbolised a heartfelt tribute from the women of the nation to the bravery of Indian soldiers.
A Salute To India’s Brave Soldiers
Speaking at the event, Gupta said, “On behalf of all the women of India, I offer my heartfelt gratitude to our armed forces, bow in respect, and salute their unmatched bravery.”
She highlighted that Operation Sindoor, a military operation led by the Indian armed forces under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, had successfully safeguarded the honour and dignity of the country’s daughters and sisters, leaving the entire nation filled with pride.
Operation Sindoor: A Bold Response To Terrorism
Gupta also praised the decisive action taken by the government and armed forces against terrorism in Pakistan, noting that the operation successfully dismantled terrorist bases and sent a clear message to those who seek to harm India.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India took bold steps to safeguard its citizens and ensure the safety of its women,” Gupta said.
Leaders Join The Yatra To Honour India’s Soldiers
The ‘Sindoor Yatra’ saw the participation of prominent BJP leaders, including BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vanathi Srinivasan, former Union Minister Smriti Irani, Delhi BJP Co-incharge Alka Gurjar, and MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat, who addressed thousands of women during the event.
Other attendees included Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha President Richa Pandey, State Vice President Yogita Singh, and several other women leaders from the Delhi BJP.
Srinivasan noted that Mahila Morcha workers were organising similar ‘Sindoor Yatras’ across the country.
“In every district and city, women are taking to the streets carrying the Indian tricolor, symbolising the valor and bravery of Indian soldiers,” she added.
A Symbol Of Strength And Unity
Srinivasan also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his firm stance on terrorism and national security.
“PM Modi has made it clear that Pakistan will now face consequences in the language it understands. His leadership ensures that the nation remains unbowed in the face of threats,” she said.
Smriti Irani’s Message Of Support For Women
Former Union Minister Smriti Irani reinforced the significance of Operation Sindoor, calling it a symbol of national pride.
“It sends a strong message to terrorists that whenever they try to target the women of this country, they will find the entire nation, the Government of India, and our armed forces standing in defence of every daughter and mother,” she stated.
Irani further emphasised that the operation also served as a tribute to the mothers whose sons protect the nation’s borders.
“Because our Army stands strong at the border, the sindoor of our mothers and sisters remains safe,” she remarked.
A Nation’s Gratitude
Concluding her speech, Irani stated that the nation bows not only to the Indian Army but also to Prime Minister Modi for his unwavering commitment to the safety and dignity of the nation.
“PM Modi has pledged that the country will neither bow down nor break,” she said, garnering widespread applause from the crowd.
The ‘Sindoor Yatra’ successfully brought together women from all walks of life, who united in their support for the armed forces and their gratitude for the government’s decisive action against terrorism.
