In a bizarre incident, a “dead” infant came back to life in Silchar, Assam. Ratan Das, father of the newborn took his pregnant wife to a private hospital where she complaint of abnormalities. Doctors said that either his wife or the baby can be saved. Ratan, the father, allowed the delivery to take place after which a stillborn baby was delivered.

Ratan, the father, received the “dead” baby on Wednesday morning. Thinking that the baby was really dead, he put it into a packet and went to cremate the baby. And then the miracle took place.
While arriving at the crematorium the baby started crying. The news spread like wildfire in the area. Malinibil residents started to protest against the private hospital authorities alleging negligence. Ratan, on his part, has filed an FIR against the hospital authorities and the doctors.

Hospital authorities, on their part, however, said that the baby boy was kept under observation for about eight hours and it was found that the baby was not responding and hence he was declared “dead”. They further clarified that there was no false intention on their part.
Similar situation took place at a hospital in New Delhi earlier in February where a baby girl was pronounced as stillborn.
