‘Daku Haseena’ Arrested After Looting 8.5 Crore, Fell For Rs 10 Drink Bait, Rs 21 Lakh Recovered

The Punjab Police arrested Mandeep Kaur, also known as “Daaku Haseena,” in connection with the June 10 heist of Rs 8 crore 49 lakh in Ludhiana. It’s interesting that the flavoured drink, which cost Rs 10, was instrumental that helped Punjab Police to catch the criminal.

At Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, Mandeep Kaur and her husband Jaswinder Singh were taken into custody. To express gratitude for the successful completion of the crime, they were making a pilgrimage to the Sikh shrine. Along with the pair, police also apprehended Gaurav, another suspect, in the Gidderbaha. Nine of the twelve suspects in the investigation have been taken into custody by police thus far. The couple, who fell for a Rs 10 drink, 21 lakh was recovered from them.

Mandeep Kaur and her husband Jaswinder Singh were reportedly planning to flee to Nepal, according to information provided to Punjab Police. But first, they were going to several shrines, including Hemkunt Sahib, Kedarnath, and Haridwar.

They were both at the Sikh shrine in Uttarakhand, but it was hard to spot them both in the crowd of worshippers. The police so came out with a strategy to provide pilgrims with free drinks. The accused couple when walked to the beverage stand had their faces covered. It was then when they sipped the drink uncovered their face, the police was then able to identify them. Interestingly, after being identified, Mandeep Kaur and Jaswinder Singh were not detained right away. ‘Let’s catch the queen bee,’ was the name of the operation launched to catch the accused. Mandeep Singh Sidhu, the commissioner of police in Ludhiana, reported that he recovered Rs. 12 lakh from Mandeep Kaur’s two-wheeler and Rs. 9 lakh from the Barnala home of her husband Jaswinder Singh.

The suspect in the 8.49 crore robbery in Ludhiana is Mandeep Kaur, also known as Daaku Haseena. On June 10, she is accused of holding five CMS Securities employees hostage in office at New Rajguru Nagar location. According to the investigation it was revealed that she wanted to be rich. She had previously raised loans and worked as a lawyer’s assistant and an insurance agent. In February of this year, she wed Jaswinder Singh.
