The Bharatiya Patrakarita Mahotsav, held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, brought together key figures from India’s media and political landscape to discuss the future of journalism.
Among the distinguished guests was Upendrra Rai, CMD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network, who delivered insightful remarks on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on journalism.
Speaking at the event, CMD Upendrra Rai said that artificial intelligence is increasingly playing a transformative role in journalism.
CMD Rai highlighted how AI is helping journalists streamline research, improve content creation, and enhance news delivery.
“AI has begun to provide significant assistance to journalists by automating tasks and enabling faster access to verified information,” CMD Rai remarked.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesperson Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi was also present at the festival.
Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the role of Indian journalism in preserving democratic values and discussed the importance of adapting to technological shifts.
Trivedi emphasized that while technology evolves, the core values of journalism- truth, responsibility, and credibility- must remain constant.
The Bharatiya Patrakarita Mahotsav served as a platform to celebrate Indian journalism’s rich heritage while focusing on its digital future.

Further, he added that Bharat Express has been actively exploring tech-driven strategies to deliver accurate and real-time news to the public.
