Actress and entrepreneur Preity Zinta turned heads at a recent Indian Premier League (IPL) match as she proudly showcased traditional Phulkari attire from Punjab.
Taking to Instagram, Zinta shared a series of photos in which she wore a white salwar kameez adorned with vibrant floral embroidery a tribute to the intricate needlework rooted in Punjabi culture.
Complementing her outfit, she opted for soft beach waves, minimal makeup, glossy lips, and a classic black bindi.
Her styling balanced elegance with authenticity, resonating with her message of cultural pride.
In her Instagram caption, Zinta encouraged fans to embrace their heritage, writing, “When in Punjab, dress in a Phulkari! Always own who you are and be proud of your roots, that’s why I am flaunting the traditional Phulkari with simple yet exquisite needlework from Punjab.”

A day earlier, the Punjab Kings co-owner praised rising cricket star Priyansh Arya, who delivered a standout performance.
“You are a shining example of how actions speak louder than words,” she wrote.
“Thank you for entertaining not just me but everyone that showed up to see the game… Here’s to many more memorable moments on and off the field. Ting!”
Preity Zinta’s connection to Punjab runs deep, both culturally and professionally.
After debuting in 1998’s Dil Se… opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she quickly rose to stardom with roles in films like Soldier, Kya Kehna, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Veer-Zaara.
Her performances combined charm and conviction, making her one of the most recognizable faces of early 2000s Bollywood.
