CM Yogi Extends Navratri Greetings; Urges Patience, Righteous Conduct & Women’s Empowerment

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended greetings to people on the second day of Shardiya Navratri on Monday, October 12, seeking Maa Brahmacharini’s blessings for patience, self-discipline and righteous conduct.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister offered prayers to Maa Brahmacharini, the second manifestation of Goddess Durga, and expressed hope that her blessings would inspire people to embrace penance, sacrifice and self-restraint.

In a separate message, CM Yogi extended his wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh, describing Navratri as a sacred festival celebrating the victory over Mahishasura and the worship of divine power.

He said the nine forms of the Goddess represent the triumph of humility, courage, strength, determination, justice and righteousness over arrogance, stubbornness and negative tendencies. He added that the festival reminds society that goodness becomes effective when supported by strength and determination.

Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and social progress, the Chief Minister said the state was emerging as an important centre for the revival of faith, traditions and culture. He also stressed the need to ensure education, security and equal opportunities for girls.

Urging people to go beyond religious observances, CM Yogi called on citizens to pledge their support for women’s safety and empowerment. He encouraged them to protect women who need assistance, support girls’ education and help women become self-reliant.

Shardiya Navratri 2026 began with the worship of Maa Shailputri, while the second day, October 12, is dedicated to Maa Brahmacharini. Devotees seek her blessings for patience, wisdom, self-discipline and spiritual growth.

The day highlights the importance of faith, devotion and perseverance, reminding devotees that determination and inner strength can help them overcome challenges.
