Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court on retirement makes sensational allegations against former CJI

Justice Diwakar also suggested that critics must look at the flaws before reaching any conclusion.

Chief Justice Allahabad High Court Justice Pritinkar Diwakar, made a sensational allegation that his  transfer to Chhattisgarh High Court was done for  harassing  him and with wrongful intentions of  former Chief Justice of India. He  made these serious allegations during his farewell ceremony which was organised in full court reference at Allahabad High court recently.

He further said that the said transfer was approved by the collegium which was presided over by Chief Justice of the Supreme court Justice Deepak Mishra. The said transfer order was issued with bad intentions.

Justice Diwakar further said that he discharged his duties in the Chhattisgarh High Court in October 2018.Everyone was satisfied and happy with his work , from where  Chief Justice of India transferred him  to Allahabad High Court , where he took charge on October 2 2018.

Justice Diwakar added that my transfer order appeared  was  issued with the intention of harassing me.However, it proved to be a boon for me as I received tremendous cooperation and support from my fellow judges and members of the Bar.

It may be recalled that Justice Pretinkar Diwakar was appointed the Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court on 13 February 2023. He then took oath as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court on 26 March 2023.

“I am extremely grateful to the present Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, who rectified the in justice done to me”. He also suggested that critics must look at the flaws before reaching any conclusion,he added

There is criticism from various quarters regarding the functioning of this court, but I firmly believe that before arriving at any particular conclusion, as far as possible, the shortcomings present in this institution must be looked at from within and the problem itself. The solution lies.

He further said that I never aimed to become a judge, but fate had something else in store for me. I believe that when you love your profession then time leads you to success. Justice  Diwakar also praised the advocates practicing in Allahabad High Court.

The quality and behavior of the advocates in Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow bench is praiseworthy. Like other High Courts, the legal proficiency and presentation of the lawyers here is good.
