Chhattisgarh has secured the leading position among large states in the February 2026 national performance ranking under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
The achievement highlights the state’s robust execution of maternal welfare initiatives and effective administrative monitoring.
Official figures show that the state recorded a 93.37 per cent enrolment rate under the scheme.
Authorities approved 83.87 per cent of applications, while grievance redressal efficiency reached 93.95 per cent.
Only 7.07 per cent of cases remained pending beyond 30 days, and the pending grievance ratio stood at 4.96 per cent.
These indicators demonstrate streamlined service delivery and transparent programme management.
The state improved its national standing by six positions compared with the previous month, ultimately emerging as the highest-performing large state in the country.
Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated officials, departmental staff and Anganwadi workers for their dedicated efforts.
He stated that the government prioritises maternal and child health across policy programmes.
The scheme provides financial assistance to pregnant women and encourages safer motherhood practices.
Lakshmi Rajwade also praised the Women and Child Development Department for its coordinated work.
She described the achievement as a proud milestone for the state. According to her, consistent monitoring and teamwork have strengthened welfare delivery.
Officials reported that during the 2025–26 financial year, 1,86,586 pregnant women registered under the programme across the state.
Authorities transferred ₹72,24,89,000 directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through direct financial support mechanisms.
The scheme’s effective implementation has strengthened maternal healthcare services across Chhattisgarh.
Administrators now view the state as a model for implementing women-centric welfare programmes efficiently.
