Chandrayaan-3 Launch Live Updates: The final hour has passed in the countdown for Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar mission. The cryogenic engine that will launch the rocket in its third and final stage has been filled with liquid oxygen. The cryogenic engine is now being filled with liquid hydrogen. The LVM 3 rocket’s liquid second stage’s propellant filling had already finished. After the two solid booster engines’ initial burst of power at the time of launch at 14:35:17 hours, the liquid second stage will ignite.

The mission’s goal is to softly land on the lunar surface and use a rover to investigate it, something that its predecessor was unable to do. India will become the fourth nation to pull out a soft landing after China, Russia, and the United States. The spacecraft will progressively expand its orbit after being launched on Friday into an orbit above the Earth at a height of 179 km in a series of movements to escape the gravity of the Earth and slingshot towards the moon. The spaceship will need to be pulled into the moon’s gravity after getting close to it. After that, the lander will detach from the propulsion module and begin its powered fall while still housing the rover.
