Central Government’s Directs Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea, BSNL To Block Fake International Calls

The central government has directed the country’s top telecom operators – Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and BSNL to block all incoming fake international calls displaying Indian mobile numbers.

The government’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) issued these instructions in an advisory. The advisory said that it has been reported that fraudsters are making fake international calls to Indian citizens using Indian mobile numbers and committing cyber crimes and financial fraud.
