Bihar: 70-year-old Man Rapes Minor, No Arrest Made

On Tuesday, Bihar Police reported that a 70-year-old man had sexually assaulted a minor in a village near Marka.

The man who allegedly tied the 16-year-old girl’s hands and legs and sexually assaulted her was identified as a Bihari.

The girl’s grandfather has filed a complaint, alleging that a rape incident happened on Monday. The girl went to her neighbour Janak, also known as Krishna Bihari to find some milk. On reaching there she found him alone.

SHO Ramesh Kumar of the Marka area claims that Bihari ran away after sexually assaulting the girl. Her cries for help alerted nearby residents, who later found her.

According to sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, police have filed a case against Bihari. He is being actively searched by the police.
