Bharat Express Opinion Poll: Hindutva, unemployment, inflation or corruption… Know what will be the biggest issue in the Lok Sabha elections?

Bharat Express Opinion Poll: The first question of the survey agency team to the public was, “what is the biggest election issue of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections (2024)?”

A recent nationwide survey was conducted by Bharat Express News Channel in collaboration with the Roadmap to Win research firm delved into the prevalent political landscape, particularly regarding the Pran Pratishtha program of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The survey aimed to gauge public sentiment surrounding various pressing issues pertinent to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Several key concerns, including Hindutva, corruption, inflation, and unemployment, were presented to the public for their views.

The survey results unveiled the primary election issue as perceived by the populace. Notably, the majority opinion identified Hindutva as the paramount concern. According to the survey findings, 39 percent of respondents considered Hindutva as the most significant issue. Following closely behind, unemployment garnered 25 percent of the vote, with inflation at 23 percent and corruption at 13 percent.

The breakdown of public opinion:

  • Hindutva: 39 percent
  • Unemployment: 25 percent
  • Inflation: 23 percent
  • Corruption: 13 percent

As the Lok Sabha elections draw closer, political parties intensify their preparatory efforts. With less than four months remaining, discussions around the temple inauguration and its potential impact on the elections persist. However, while there is acknowledgment of its influence, the concept of complete polarization seems questionable.

In recent months, opposition parties, including the Congress, have articulated concerns about the BJP’s perceived politicization of Lord Ram. Accusations have been made regarding the BJP’s alleged appropriation of Lord Ram’s stature for partisan gains, with continuous assertions that Lord Ram is being portrayed as the exclusive deity of a single party.”
